Job summary

Oceaneering is seeking an NDE Engineer to support NASA on the JETS II contract. The role covers metallic, nonmetallic, and composite materials and involves preparing, evaluating, and conducting NDE activities with a focus on laboratory operations and problem resolution.

The candidate will work within the Materials Analysis section of the Engineering Department and may be hired at multiple professional levels based on business needs. Some travel and cross-group collaboration are required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on NDE experience via internships, coursework, or direct work.
• ABET-accredited degree in Science or Engineering.
• Experience supporting NDE development, test, and evaluation in NASA/aerospace.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and assess NDE requirements, plans, and reports for metallic, nonmetallic, and composites.
• Plan and conduct POD capability demonstrations and inspection tests.
• Analyze NDE issues and support corrective actions.
• Present NDE activity reports for meetings.
• Travel occasionally and support equipment recommendations.
