Job summary

Firefly Aerospace is hiring a GSE Technician for our Briggs, TX production facility. You will work with the Test Operations Team to build and maintain test stands, sites, and fluid systems for rocket testing.

Responsibilities include stand verification, commissioning, installation, troubleshooting, and documenting activity. The role requires hands-on mechanical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working with and troubleshooting mechanical systems, high pressure fluid/pneumatic systems, or heavy equipment.
• 3+ years of experience using power tools, hand tools, and calibrated tooling.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities in a high-paced, challenging environment.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand for extended periods at test stands.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade test stand equipment and instrumentation.
• Participate in builds of new site/test stands or implementation of new systems on current stands.
• Provide operability and constructability feedback to GSE engineers during design.
• Collaborate with test engineers to develop test procedures and document stand activity.
• Build and maintain tools, storage, and hardware to support testing activities.
• Maintain clean, orderly locations on test stands to ensure flight-ready hardware.
• Partner with engineering teams to streamline and improve testing processes.
• Perform test stand operating tasks in parallel under guidance from the test engineering team.
• Operate and maintain hardware, high pressure and cryogenic systems, hydraulics, pumps, and pneumatic components.
