Vardaspace in El Segundo, California, is seeking a Trajectory Analysis Engineer to join our Mission Assurance team. This role focuses on flight safety analysis and compliance with FAA regulations.

The successful candidate will handle responsibilities from flight safety analyses to defining safety-critical verification artifacts, ensuring our reentry methodologies are mathematically sound. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, systems engineering or related field.
• Demonstrated ownership and execution of a complex engineering project.
• Strong experience with risk management methodologies and tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform flight safety analyses for each mission.
• Execute the technical regulatory strategy and safety cases for FAA authorizations.
• Act as the Flight Safety responsible engineer during mission operations.
