Job summary

A leading space technology company based in Austin, TX is seeking a Flight Dynamics Engineer to drive successful space missions. You will lead the design and implementation of advanced software tools for trajectory optimization and orbit determination. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics, at least 5 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in Python. This role also requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physics and 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Advanced understanding of orbital mechanics.
• Experience working in an operational environment, especially with spacecraft missions.

Responsibilities

• Use ranging techniques to perform orbit determination of spacecraft.
• Design, analyze, and execute orbital maneuvers for spacecraft.
• Advance in-house tools for trajectory design, maneuver planning, and orbit determination.
