Job summary

Cimarron Software Services, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced part-time Environmental Control and Life Support Systems (ECLSS) Engineer to support the Boeing CST-100 Starliner program.

You will design, analyze, and test life-support systems for space environments, including air revitalization, water recovery, and thermal control. The ideal candidate has 20+ years in ECLSS, understands system integration and testing, and is familiar with NASA/ESA standards.

Qualifications

• Due to facility security, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration.
• 20+ years of related experience.
• In-depth Environmental Control and Life Support Systems (ECLSS) engineering experience.
• Experience with system integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with space mission requirements and standards (NASA/ESA).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Prior experience in space mission support or aerospace projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize life support systems for manned space environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ECLSS with other spacecraft subsystems.
• Conduct system testing and validation to ensure performance under space conditions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot system performance during simulation and operational missions.
• Provide technical documentation and support for system development and testing.
