Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in the Seattle area is seeking a structural/space systems engineer to join the Lunar Transportation team. You will analyze load paths, primary and secondary spacecraft structures, and integrate structural analysis with loads and dynamic environments to ensure safe, reliable hardware for lunar missions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in mechanical, aerospace or civil engineering with strong fundamentals in structural static/dynamic analysis.
  • Experience solving static/dynamic structural problems using physics-based methods.
  • Exposure to aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicles, or automotive external loads and vibro-acoustic analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Analysis of load path from conceptual to drawing release and hardware creation.
  • Analysis of primary and secondary spacecraft structures.
  • Integration of structural analysis with loads and dynamics environments.
  • Finite Element Model development, refinement, validation, and correlation to tests.
  • Strength checks and analysis report generation.
  • Test and verification plan and report generation.
  • Support configuration development and trade studies.
