Job summary

Anduril Industries in the United States is seeking a Spacecraft Operations Systems Engineer for RPO to own mission planning, rehearsals, and flight operations. You will validate procedures, run simulations, and coordinate with GNC, flight software, and ground software teams to ensure robust spacecraft performance.

The role emphasizes pre-launch campaigns, day-in-the-life testing, and training of operators, with collaboration across mission partners to meet demanding timelines in space operations.

Qualifications

• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
• Strong engineering background in Aerospace Engineering, Astrodynamics, CS, or related field.
• 4+ years of professional spacecraft operations, mission planning, or flight dynamics.
• Direct RPO experience on a flown or near-flight mission: relative orbit design and proximity operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and own RPO mission plans: relative motion, approach and hold sequencing, delta-V budgets.
• Build passive safety into every approach to avoid collision trajectories.
• Author flight rules and procedures for close approach and exclusion zones.
• Own mission operations plans for spacecraft programs across all phases.
• Drive pre-launch campaigns with day-in-the-life rehearsals and procedure changes.
• Validate procedures on flatsats and hardware-in-the-loop testbeds before flight.
• Incorporate operational constraints into GNC, flight and ground software designs.
• Create and analyze metrics to debug vehicle and campaign performance.
• Triage anomalies and coordinate next steps under time pressure.
• Train operators and mission crews on Anduril spacecraft and RPO execution.
