Job summary

Katalyst is an American technology company building a fleet of dual-use robotic space vehicles. This role owns robotics-facing flight software end to end, writing modern C++ that commands real actuators, and Python where it moves faster.

You'll take pose from camera to control loop, validate vision data, and prove your work on hardware-in-the-loop benches before flight. The position is on-site in Colorado, with Senior/Principal levels based on experience.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering, computer science, robotics, or mechatronics.
• 2+ years for Engineer, 6+ years for Senior, 10+ years for Principal; levels based on experience.
• Experience bringing software to hardware, with flight/space or robotics context preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own robotics-facing flight software end to end: motion and actuator control, vision-to-GNC data path, degraded behavior.
• Write modern C++ that commands actuators and Python where needed.
• Prove your work on hardware-in-the-loop bench and flatsat before flight; collaborate with GNC, avionics, and operations.
