Apex Technology, Inc. seeks a Mechanisms Build Engineer to advance spacecraft electromechanical hardware, focusing on long-life rotating assemblies and motor-driven mechanisms.

You will build, test, and qualify components such as actuators, sensors, and telemetry interfaces, working with controls, avionics, and software teams to scale production for demanding space environments. This role requires hands-on hardware bring-up, troubleshooting, and developing manufacturing procedures to improve

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on electromechanical systems experience.
• Experience delivering and testing flight hardware.
• Strong understanding of motor-driven systems and actuators.
• Experience with Hall sensors, encoders, resolvers, microswitches, and potentiometers.
• Hands-on hardware bring-up, debugging and test execution.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Support build, integration, and qualification of electromechanical hardware.
• Develop and execute test campaigns for motor-driven hardware.
• Support manufacturing scaling for actuator systems.
• Design test setups, fixtures, instrumentation, and validation.
• Collaborate with controls, avionics, and software teams.
• Work with sensors and feedback devices.
• Troubleshoot hardware and system-level issues.
• Support environmental testing (vibration, thermal vacuum, etc.).
• Develop procedures and production validation processes.
• Drive root cause investigations.
• Partner with design and production to improve manufacturability.
