Job summary

K2 Space invites an Integration Technician to join our mega-class satellite program, supporting integration across the vehicle lifecycle, including primary structure, harness routing, propulsion system proof, leak testing, and cleanroom payload integration.

The role requires hands-on mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems work in a fast-paced environment; candidates should have 5+ years in aerospace flight hardware assembly, ability to work with calibrated tools, and strong problem-solving

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience assembling, integrating, and testing flight hardware in the aerospace industry.
• Proficiency with computers and ability to use MS Office and shop floor management software.
• Familiar with calibrated tools including multi-meters, calipers, torque wrenches, load cells, safety cable guns, and crimpers.
• Demonstrated high level of ownership and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on assembly of the primary and secondary structure, including sheet metal panels, machined parts, and mechanisms
• Route, install, secure, and inspect avionics and power harnesses on integrated vehicles
• Install electro-mechanical components including mechanisms, avionics, power, and propulsion hardware
• Support propulsion system integration and high-pressure operations following released procedures and safety protocols
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing, test, quality, and design engineering to resolve hardware issues in real time
• Follow detailed work instructions and manufacturing procedures, performing all work in the MES system (scanning, material consumption, and built traceability)
• Support cleanroom final integration activities including payload integration, functional testing, troubleshooting, vehicle handling, and shipping preparations
• Practice 5S principles of organizing and sustaining an efficient and presentable workspace
• Provide consistent process improvement feedback to engineering and production leadership
• Occasionally support component assembly in sub-assembly stations
