Astranis Space Technologies in Northern California, USA, offers an exciting summer internship for Harness Design Engineer Intern. You will work with the harnessing design team on flight and test harnessing, gain hands-on experience shaping hardware that may fly in space, and contribute to critical spacecraft interfaces.

This 12-week, hourly role is for students enrolled in a four-year university; after graduation you may apply as Associate Engineer. Base pay is $29 per hour, and U.S.

Qualificações

• Currently pursuing a B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in mechatronics or electrical engineering (or equivalent technical degree).
• Interest in learning about, designing, and working with various spacecraft systems and subsystems.
• Familiar with power and data transmission concepts.

Responsabilidades

• Work with the harnessing design team on designing flight and test harnessing.
• Create wiring diagrams, block diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings of spacecraft harnessing.
• Work with cross-functional teams to define interfaces between different subsystems.
• Use CAD programs to route harnessing in 3D.
• Utilize EE fundamentals to select appropriate design components based on various requirements like voltage, power, frequency, and data-rate.
• Work with production to fabricate in-house cables.
