Job summary

Redwire Space’s Albuquerque facility is seeking a Hardware Test Engineer to design test plans, procedures, and scripts for validating space-grade hardware. You will ensure mission success by testing hardware under extreme space conditions and collaborating on high-profile programs.

The role requires scripting (Python), Linux experience, and ability to travel up to 15% to test facilities; ownership of testing processes and reports is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related field; 5+ years aerospace/space Test Engineering experience.
• Experience writing test plans, procedures, reports and data packages.
• Experience with environmental testing (TVAC, Vibration, Shock).
• Scripting and automation skills (Python).
• Experience with Linux (OS).
• PCA troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design test plans, procedures, and scripts to validate space-grade hardware.
• Devise testing plans, methods, and equipment to ensure product reliability.
• Define tests and parameters for testing; perform testing activities.
• Compile data and specify changes to testing equipment or procedures.
• Test all customer hardware and perform special tests as needed.
• Develop testing procedures and scripted automation; produce test reports.
