Job summary

Impulse Space is seeking a Guidance, Navigation, and Control Intern for Summer 2027 in Louisville, CO. You will support GNC analysis, testing, and flight operations of spacecraft, collaborating with software and propulsion engineers to contribute to mission analysis and flight code development.

The 12-week internship runs May/June through August/September 2027. Compensation is $30.00 per hour with overtime eligibility; on-site work is required at Louisville, CO.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a master’s program in a related field
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, and/or C++ programming
• Experience in simulation, closed-loop control design, estimation theory or orbital mechanics
• Ability to communicate technical challenges clearly

Responsibilities

• Implement and improve simulation models
• Characterize on-orbit performance of GNC functions
• Test GNC functionality on real hardware, supporting Mira and Helios development
• Write robust, reviewed, and tested flight code
