Job summary

Impulse Space in Boulder County is offering a Guidance, Navigation, and Control Internship. The 12-week program runs May/June through August/September 2027, with on-site work in Louisville, CO, and compensation of $30.00 per hour.

Interns will support GNC analysis, test, and flight operations for spacecraft and collaborate with software and propulsion engineers. You will help develop simulation and flight code, automate analysis and testing, and contribute to mission analysis and hardware

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a master's program in Aerospace Engineering, Math, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, and/or C++ programming.
• Experience in any of the following: Simulation; Closed-loop control design; Estimation theory; Orbital mechanics.
• Ability to communicate technical challenges, explain rationale and resolve concerns.

Responsibilities

• Implement and improve simulation models
• Characterize on-orbit performance of GNC functions
• Test GNC functionality on real hardware, supporting Mira and Helios development and delivery
• Write robust, reviewed, and tested code for flight
