Job summary

K2 Space seeks a highly motivated Electrical Engineering Intern for a 3-month Summer 2027 program. You will design electronics PCBAs, work on power, digital, and mixed-signal designs for satellites, and collaborate with engineers to take projects from concept to flight-ready hardware.

You will gain hands-on experience with space-grade electronics, environmental testing, and real-world integration challenges while reporting to the engineering team in a fast-growing, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering.
• 6+ months experience of technical engineering skills outside of the university setting.

Responsibilities

• Design electronics PCBAs for spacecraft including architecture, component selection, circuit board design, board bring up and debugging
• Qualify designs through environmental testing including vibration, shock, thermal, and thermal vacuum testing
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate designs into spacecraft systems and operate hardware in flight
• Develop test equipment, development PCBAs, and test scripts to support all activities
