Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking an Electrical Engineer II for our Long Beach, CA avionics design team. You will participate in development and test of avionics hardware for spacecraft programs. You will work with engineers from multiple disciplines and handle requirements through design, prototyping, testing, and production.

You will have 2+ years of electrical hardware design experience, be proficient with Altium Designer, and be comfortable using standard lab equipment. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of electrical hardware design experience including schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Strong understanding of circuit design fundamentals and electrical engineering principles.
• Proficiency with basic electronic lab equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal generators, soldering irons.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop PCBA requirements in collaboration with other engineering disciplines.
• Capture schematics and lay out PCBs using Altium Designer.
• Perform circuit analysis including power, tolerance, and reliability aspects.
• PCBA design verification testing and system integration testing.
• Production manufacturing support as needed.
