Job summary

Rocket Lab’s Space Systems team in Long Beach, CA seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer II to lead avionics hardware development for spacecraft programs. You’ll contribute from requirements through design, prototyping, testing and production, with frequent on-orbit operations opportunities.

Bring 8+ years of analog electronics design, PCB/layout experience with Altium Designer, and a strong SPICE/Excel circuit-analysis background. U.S. citizenship is required to meet program requirements.

Qualifications

• BS in electrical or computer engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of electrical hardware design experience including schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Strong background in analog electronics design.
• Proficient in circuit analysis using SPICE and Excel.
• Experience with processors, FPGAs, and power supplies; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop PCBA requirements in collaboration with other disciplines.
• Schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer.
• Circuit analysis including power, tolerance, and reliability considerations.
• PCBA design verification testing and system integration testing.
• Provide production manufacturing support as needed.
