Job summary

Varda Space Industries, Inc. is seeking a Space Build Reliability Engineer II in El Segundo, CA, to partner with design and manufacturing teams to scale spacecraft hardware production. You will drive test plans, investigations, and design reviews to ensure reliable, flight-ready hardware.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in aerospace engineering or related field.
• Hands-on hardware test, qualification, troubleshooting, or failure analysis experience.
• Commitment to lean quality principles without compromising safety or reliability.
• Demonstrated use of process controls in high volume manufacturing, test and quality environments.
• Experience generating, processing, and analyzing data for production insight.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, with drive to improve reliability.

Responsibilities

• Partner with design engineering and manufacturing teams to create test, manufacturability, and inspection plans for vehicle hardware.
• Contain non-conforming product and guide quality inspectors and engineers.
• Lead failure investigations in production, test, and operation; identify root causes to reduce risk.
• Provide peer review during design reviews and test campaigns.
• Perform FMEAs, ensure test coverage, change management, and manufacturability of flight hardware.
• Own vehicle-level deliverables for regulatory requirements and hazard analyses.
