Job summary

Varda Space Industries is seeking a Build Reliability Engineer II to partner with design and manufacturing teams to scale spacecraft hardware production. You will ensure reliable hardware at rate, while supporting Quality, Flight Reliability, and Mission Assurance.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on with hardware design, test, and troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include developing test and inspection plans, leading failure investigations, and owning regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, computer science, electrical, manufacturing, mechanical, or material sciences engineering.
• 3+ years professional experience in aerospace, design, quality, or related engineering role.
• Hands‑on hardware test, qualification, troubleshooting, or failure analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Create test, manufacturability, and inspection plans for all vehicle hardware.
• Contain non-conforming product and guide quality inspectors and technicians.
• Lead failure investigations in production, test, and operation to reduce risk.
• Provide peer review during design reviews and test campaigns.
• Perform FMEA, test coverage, and change management for flight hardware.
• Maintain vehicle-level deliverables for regulatory compliance and analyses.
• Support Mission Assurance risk management and mitigations.
