Job summary

Rocket Lab's Space Systems division in Long Beach, CA, is seeking an Electrical Engineer I to join the avionics design team. You will contribute to developing and testing avionics hardware for spacecraft, collaborating across disciplines from requirements through production.

The role emphasizes hands‑on design, analysis, and test activities, with opportunities to work on space‑flight hardware and on‑orbit operations. A strong foundation in analog electronics and SPICE analysis is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering; or other engineering discipline.
• Strong background in analog electronics design.
• Proficiency performing circuit analyses in SPICE and Excel.
• U.S. citizenship required, due to program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop PCBA requirements in collaboration with other engineering disciplines.
• Schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer.
• Circuit analysis, including power, tolerance, and reliability related.
• PCBA design verification testing and system integration testing.
• Production manufacturing support as needed.
