Job summary

QinetiQ US in Colorado Springs seeks an experienced Special Operations Planner (J7) to support USSPACECOM. The embedded contract role focuses on joint force development, training, doctrine, and space warfighting integration, delivering decision-ready products for senior leadership under tight deadlines.

Ideal candidates bring deep knowledge of joint training, METLs, UJTLs, and Space operations doctrine, with TS/SCI clearance and proficiency with SIPRNet/JWICS/JLLIS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• 10+ years in joint force development, training, doctrine, or lessons learned at HQ/Combatant Command level.
• Experience with JTS, JELC, and/or JLLP.
• Experience staffing joint doctrine publications and capstone guidance.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to produce high-quality briefings under time pressure.
• Proficiency with SIPRNet, JWICS, and JLLIS.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance; #qinetiqclearedjob.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead joint force development across training design, doctrine, and readiness.
• Develop and staff joint doctrine publications and TTPs.
• Manage lessons learned program; coordinate with JLLIS.
• Plan and execute joint training events, exercises, and wargames.
• Assess readiness; track training requirements per UJTL/METLs.
• Coordinate the Joint Training Plan and exercise schedules.
• Develop decision-ready products for senior leadership.
• Coordinate with JPME and Space training organizations.
• Maintain OPSEC and TS/SCI classifications; ensure compliance.
• Identify gaps and propose resource requirements; adapt as needed.
