Job summary

Northwood Space is seeking a Supply Chain Operations Intern for a summer 2027 program in Torrance, CA. The role focuses on hands-on manufacturing and deployment support for satellite ground stations, with emphasis on data-driven inventory management and forecasting.

You will partner with procurement, engineering, and operations to track materials, monitor supplier performance, and develop dashboards that provide real-time visibility into the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable working with data to inform operational decisions.
• Proficiency with Excel; experience with dashboards or data visualization tools is a plus.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and operational teams.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement, sourcing, and order tracking for high-tech components critical to ground station production.
• Monitor inventory, analyze trends, and help optimize stock to prevent production delays.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure materials meet technical specifications and quality standards.
• Analyze supplier performance, lead times, and logistics data to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist in building dashboards, reports, and automated tracking systems to provide real-time visibility across the supply chain.
• Help implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and mitigate operational risks.
