Job summary

Stoke Space seeks a mid-level corporate attorney to join its in-house legal team and support the full lifecycle of commercial contracting in a fast-growing space company. You will partner with business, engineering, and finance to enable rapid, compliant contract execution for our Nova programs while helping build a high-performing legal function.

You will draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements, develop scalable contracting infrastructure, and advise on major provisions including IP,

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school with active bar membership.
• 8+ years of experience in commercial or corporate practice, preferably in aerospace, defense, or hardware technology sectors.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and drafting skills.
• Ability to prioritize and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements including NDAs, launch services, licenses, and master services.
• Develop and maintain scalable contracting infrastructure with templates, libraries, playbooks, and processes.
• Own commercial contract negotiations from intake to execution, handling routine to moderately complex matters.
• Advise on IP, confidentiality, indemnification, liability limits, insurance, data security, compliance, and payments.
• Collaborate with business, engineering, finance, IT/security, and executives to align contracts with business goals.
• Support broader corporate matters and contribute to a high-performing, business-oriented legal function.
• Identify opportunities to leverage technology and automation to improve legal processes.
• Flexibly assist with other legal matters as needed.
