Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Test Engineer to evaluate software and hardware developed for the DoD, U.S. Space Force, and U.S. Air Force.

You will create test plans and test cases from user stories and use automation to streamline processes. You will document results and communicate defects to the development team to drive improvements, supporting fault detection and recovery during integration testing and exposure to radar, space domain awareness, missile defense, and satellite systems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software/hardware testing experience.
• 1+ years of formal requirement verification test procedures.
• 1+ years of experience preparing test reports.
• 1+ years of experience developing software requirement verification procedures.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.

Responsibilities

• Perform software and hardware testing on space systems.
• Prepare test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Ensure effective communications between engineers and all participants in the testing process.
• Support an Agile software development team.
• Develop system test solutions within project constraints.
• Prepare and execute comprehensive system or element-level test plans and procedures, and test readiness reviews.
• Document test requirements and methodologies in the requirements management system.
• Review system engineering documentation to ensure test plans meet needs and are complete.
• Support the development of system integration plans, procedures, and scenarios used in software/hardware testing.
• Participate in engineering peer reviews as a document originator or reviewer to ensure quality.
• Document and record integration activities, plans, results, and deficiencies.
