Job summary

KBR is seeking a Systems Engineer Technical Analyst (SETA) to support threat-informed mission engineering for space defense programs. You will integrate intelligence with engineering analysis, perform modeling and simulations, and produce technical assessments for government programs.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in space, defense, or IC analysis or systems engineering, including exposure to space threat analysis or mission/architecture assessments within the IC/DoD environment.
• Modeling & Simulation experience with space mission tools (STK/AFSIM or equivalent).
• Working understanding of space and ground architectures and their interactions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
• U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Poly.

Responsibilities

• Support threat-informed mission engineering activities including end-to-end mission thread analysis and resiliency assessments.
• Develop and execute M&S cases using STK/AFSIM or Python/MATLAB to characterize system performance and timelines.
• Translate intelligence on space systems into technical requirements and risk measures for architectures.
• Coordinate with stakeholders across mission centers, USSF/SSC, IC, and Combatant Commands for analytic consistency.
• Contribute to test and evaluation planning including design, data sufficiency, and criteria.
• Produce technical assessments and briefings on space threat systems and implications for mission resilience.
• Provide SETA support across the lifecycle including requirements analysis and verification/validation.
• Apply analytic standards and QA practices to engineering and all-source products.
