Job summary

Leidos has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to support NASA’s Commercial Low Earth Orbit Destinations (CLD) Program. This position will lead projects focused on the development, integration, and certification of life support and multi-disciplinary spaceflight systems, supporting current and future human spaceflight missions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of project management experience in aerospace, space systems, or related technical programs.
• Demonstrated experience managing NASA or human spaceflight-related projects.
• Experience working in a matrixed, multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project lifecycle management including planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout of aerospace and life support system projects.
• Manage development, integration, and certification of spaceflight hardware and software systems.
• Develop and maintain resource-loaded schedules, cost estimates, and Basis of Estimates (BOEs).
• Coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams including ECLSS, mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineering.
• Interface with external customers and stakeholders to ensure alignment with mission requirements and program objectives.
• Support design reviews, technical reviews, and program milestone reviews.
• Manage risks, issues, and change control processes across projects.
• Ensure compliance with NASA processes for requirements, verification, safety, quality, and configuration management.
• Review and approve technical documentation, including work orders, test plans, and engineering products.
• Provide regular status reporting on cost, schedule, and technical performance to internal and external stakeholders.
