Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Mechanical Engineering intern for our Space sector in Manhattan Beach, CA. You will support the mechanical engineering team with CAD modeling, drawings and revisions for electronic components and assemblies.

This internship offers hands-on experience, exposure to design controls, and collaboration with engineers to ensure standards and documentation are maintained throughout the design process.

Qualifications

• Full-time student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate STEM degree and will be enrolled full-time in Fall 2027.
• Majors in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math).
• Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite.

Responsibilities

• Assist CAD modeling, engineering drawings and design revisions for electronic components and assemblies.
• Document designs, incorporate redlines and ensure accuracy and adherence to engineering standards.
