Stratos Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Space Systems Engineer to support a government customer in Colorado Springs, CO.

The role focuses on space protection, mission resilience, and the integration of critical space capabilities across systems and programs. The candidate will engage in threat-informed engineering, assess architectures, and coordinate with government, SETA, and contractor teams to deliver actionable recommendations and ensure mission success.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 3+ years of experience or a Master’s with 1+ year of experience.
• Experience with systems engineering processes including requirements, integration, risk management, and configuration/change management.
• Understanding of space mission architectures and how space, ground, comms, and ops segments interact.
• Ability to assess complex risks and develop actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Support Government systems engineering and space protection activities across the system lifecycle.
• Assess threats, vulnerabilities, risks, resilience, survivability, and mission assurance for space missions.
• Evaluate protection across spacecraft, ground systems, communications, C2, and mission operations.
• Develop and evaluate space protection strategies, requirements, architectures, and courses of action.
• Apply threat-informed systems engineering to identify vulnerabilities and mitigation approaches.
• Produce clear analyses and recommendations for Government leadership.
• Represent Government interests in reviews, working groups, and technical forums.
