Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a Systems Engineer Level 3/4 to join our Gilbert, AZ team. You will oversee end-to-end integration of space vehicles with the launch vehicle, coordinate base processing and execution of launch operations, and serve as the primary technical interface with key stakeholders.

The role requires active Top Secret/SCI clearance, extensive experience in space systems, and leadership in systems engineering.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5+ years of engineering experience or Master’s with 3 years or PhD with 1 year.
Experience in space systems, launch vehicles, payloads, or ground systems.
Familiarity with launch or range operations, mission integration, or space vehicle integration processing.
Active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance and ability to obtain SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

Lead space vehicle integration with various Launch Service providers.
Plan and execute all aspects of the launch lifecycle from studies to day-of-launch activities.
Plan and manage launch site operations and logistics with stakeholders.
Prepare and secure acceptance of launch range safety documentation per applicable standards.
Identify and mitigate spacecraft hazards per MIL-STD-882.
Coordinate range operations and deliver required range products.
