Job summary

MIT Lincoln Laboratory seeks a space systems engineer to analyze and test space environmental effects, including EMI/EMC and radiation impacts. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, perform systems analysis, data collection, modeling, and reporting, and coordinate activities with sponsors.

Occasional travel for field exercises and presentations may be required. The ideal candidate holds a PhD (or Master's with substantial experience) in a relevant technical field and demonstrates strong

Qualifications

  • PhD or equivalent with strong background in space environmental effects and related fields.
  • Significant experience in two or more areas listed (RF, space systems, EMI/EMC, tests).
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and communicate with technical and sponsor audiences.
  • Experience with analytical/programming tools (MATLAB, Python, C/C++).
  • Active Top Secret security clearance highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and test space environmental effects including EMI/EMC and space radiation.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary research teams and coordinate activities.
  • Perform systems analysis, design, test, data collection, and reporting.
  • Occasionally travel for field exercises, sponsor presentations, and events.
