Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Dulles, VA is seeking an Electrical Engineer intern to join the Space Intern Program. You will apply basic engineering design and analytical skills to projects, gaining hands-on experience and supporting development efforts.

This internship targets full-time students pursuing a STEM degree, available for Summer 2027, and U.S. citizens. You will work under supervision, learn industry standards, and build professional networks for future opportunities.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled full-time in Fall 2027 as a student.
• Pursuing a Science/Technology/Engineering or Math (STEM) degree.
• Available to work 40 hours per week on-site for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
• Be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic design, development, analysis, and test tasks of limited complexity for assigned portions of a project.
• Ensure tasks meet cost, quality, schedule, and performance requirements.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, models, and test results to ensure compliance with standards and product requirements.
• Develop and revise technical documentation and contribute to technical papers or presentations.
