Job summary

KBR Careers is seeking a Space Systems CAD Modeler to build high-fidelity 3D CAD models of spacecraft and payloads. You will translate data into accurate visualizations and documentation to support engineering assessments and mission decisions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a technical field, experience with Siemens NX, CATIA, or SOLIDWORKS, and an active TS/SCI clearance. You will work with multidisciplinary teams on complex space system architectures in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline.
• Experience creating high-fidelity 3D CAD models of spacecraft.
• Ability to produce engineering drawings and visualizations.
• Experience with configuration-controlled technical documents.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-fidelity 3D CAD models of foreign spacecraft and payloads.
• Create digital representations of subsystem architectures and configurations.
• Translate assessments and data into visual/engineering models.
• Produce FALT products documenting architectures and lifecycle.
• Create technical illustrations and cutaway views for deliverables.
• Maintain model libraries and configuration baselines with traceability.
• Incorporate new data into existing models and documentation.
• Support characterization of spacecraft and ground systems through modeling.
