Job summary

Astro Digital in Littleton, Colorado, seeks a Satellite Solar Cell Array Production Technician to join our space-qualified production team. The role covers precision assembly, electrical integration, testing, and rework of solar cell arrays and harnesses in a cleanroom environment.

The candidate will read engineering drawings, fabricate harnesses, perform delicate soldering, and conduct functional tests with meters and power supplies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• 1–4 years of hands-on precision assembly and electrical rework in aerospace/defense/precision manufacturing.
• Strong expertise in fine-pitch hand soldering, harness manufacturing, and electrical subassembly rework.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and SOPs.
• Experience in a certified cleanroom environment with ESD/FOD controls.

Responsibilities

• Assemble solar cells on panel substrates per engineering specs.
• Fabricate and terminate space-grade harnesses and cable assemblies.
• Perform electrical rework including delicate soldering and component replacement.
• Prepare substrates and insulating layers using precision tools and tapes.
• Dispense, cure, and test adhesives and epoxies per process controls.
• Maintain cleanroom integrity, ESD controls, and FOD prevention.
