Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks Software Engineering Undergraduate Interns for the Software Implementation and Integration Department within ISCD. The position is full-time and 100% onsite at our El Segundo, CA or Chantilly, VA offices.

You will work on simulated space systems using Python, Java, and C, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team while applying cloud computing and cybersecurity concepts. Mentorship and hands-on project experience await in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field(s).
• Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks, with return to degree program after internship.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Experience programming in Python, C/C++, or Java.
• Ability to work with cloud services such as AWS or Azure.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.
• Transcripts required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in design & implementation of a simulated space system.
• Develops prototype software in Python, Java & C to operate on space/ground elements.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team on ongoing research.
• Applies standard techniques to prescribed tasks.
• Training and mentorship will be provided.
