Job summary

Northwood Space in Torrance, CA, seeks an RF & Antenna Systems Engineer to support development, verification, and measurement of RF/antenna systems for space-to-ground links. You will collaborate with RF, electrical, mechanical, and software teams to validate hardware and analyze RF performance from concept to deployment.

You'll gain early-career exposure to antenna measurements, RF characterization, and applied electromagnetics while building Python/MATLAB tools for data analysis and system

Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in electromagnetics, RF systems, and antenna theory.
• Experience with RF measurement equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzers, or signal generators).
• Experience using Python or MATLAB for data analysis, modeling, or measurement processing.
• Ability to analyze RF measurement data and system performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Support RF and antenna measurements, including gain and radiation patterns
• Analyze RF system performance metrics such as G/T, EIRP, and link margin
• Build Python or MATLAB tools for RF data analysis and system modeling
• Assist with RF system integration and troubleshooting across hardware and software interfaces
• Investigate and debug RF and antenna system performance issues via measurement and data analysis
• Support test-for-production activities and calibration procedures
• Document test procedures and results
