Job summary

Intuitive Machines, LLC is seeking a Radiation Test Engineer for the NOVA-C / NOVA-D Lunar Lander and Altus Lunar Satellite programs. You will act as the technical authority on mission-based radiation environments, define tests, implement hardware solutions, and lead test campaigns from design to results.

The role requires hands-on work across radiation testing, test planning, and risk mitigation, reporting to the Avionics Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
• 5+ years relevant experience (3+ with MS).
• Hands-on experience with spacecraft subsystems, avionics, or HWIL testbeds.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, system diagrams, and interface definitions.
• Experience with test planning and test procedure development.
• Strong understanding of spacecraft power systems, communications, C&DH, and ground interfaces.
• Ability to work effectively in fast paced, evolving technical environments.

Responsibilities

• Define tests based on radiation environments and develop supporting tasks.
• Create functional block & harness diagrams for tests.
• Design test cables and Altium PCBs.
• Perform cross section / probabilistic analyses on results.
• Develop test plans and procedures for payload and spacecraft testing.
• Track risks, integration issues, and mitigation strategies.
• Manage configuration changes as hardware evolves.
• Ensure safe operations and hardware handling discipline.
• Define program requirements based on radiation environment.
