Travel to locations in the DC metro area may be required weekly. The position serves as SME and SPO representative coordinating with end users, developers, and other stakeholders to deploy new protection capabilities into space operations.

TheSpace Protection Operations Engineerwill serve asthe subject matter expert (SME) and System Program Office (SPO) representative coordinating with end user operators, the developer, and other stakeholdersforthedeployment of new protection capabilities into space operations. TheSpace ProtectionOperationsEngineeris theSPO's on-siteagentfor user-engagementwithoperatorsof a space protection systemand willcollaboratewithsite users andSMEs withinthe SPOhome officetosupport systemtesting,transition to operations planning, user/operator training,Operations and Maintenance(O&M)planningandDeficiency Report (DR)management, andbethe focal point forrepresenting SPO equitiesto thesite'sOperations stakeholders.

Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $130,000 - $197,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
