Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space seeks a seasoned Tech Ops program professional to serve as the primary interface with the PM Office and customer for programmatic items. You will identify and close technical issues, monitor ETC/EVM metrics, and project engineering staffing needs in collaboration with PM and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Familiarity with Program Operations, including knowledge of at least one engineering field.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support program goals.
• Top Secret clearance required to start.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary Tech Ops interface with Program Management (PM) Office/Customer for all programmatic items on a specific program.
• Be responsible for identification and closure of technical issues.
• Track Estimated time to Complete/Earned Value Management (ETC/EVM) Metrics to monitor program performance and identify technical or Tech Ops staffing risks, while managing cost/schedule.
• Provide timely and accurate projections of engineering resource requirements while working with PM to ensure GRID is up to date.
• Work closely with first and second line functional leaders to identify and secure appropriate staffing, coordinates with the PM office and first line managers on proposed engineering staffing changes prior to changes.
• Work in concert with the LOB and/or Market Segment Chief Engineer, ensures program plans and technical baselines are consistent with Program Control processes and Modern Engineering Practices.
• Own responsibility for the Chief Architect (CA) roles and responsibilities when the project or market segment does not utilize CAs. Depending on size/complexity of program, EPM role may be filled from Chief Engineer or Centers of Excellence (COE) organization.
