Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the ER-SEIT team across the full space design lifecycle on-site. Roles require a Top Secret clearance and STEM degrees with relevant experience. Experience in requirements, architecture, modeling and test is preferred for space missions.

Relocation may be available; travel up to 10% is expected. Primary level and secondary level salary ranges are provided with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • DoD Top Secret clearance required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 2+ years of relevant experience; Master’s with 0 years acceptable.
  • Experience in systems engineering: requirements, mission engineering, architecture, modeling & simulation, integration & test, verification & validation.

Overview

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is a strategic partner delivering intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance solutions for classified and unclassified missions in space. The Eastern Region Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (ER‑SEIT) team works through the entire space design lifecycle on‑site, from early mission and concept design to on‑orbit operational support.

Clearance and Travel

Clearance required: Top Secret (DoD). Travel: Yes, 10% of the time.

Basic Qualifications
  • Systems Engineer: Bachelor’s Degree in STEM curriculum with 2 years of relevant experience; or a Master’s Degree with 0 years of experience
  • Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor’s Degree in STEM curriculum with 5 years of relevant experience; 3 years with a Master’s; or a PhD with 0 years of experience
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret clearance at the time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access
  • Experience in systems engineering (requirements, mission engineering, architecture, modeling and simulation, integration and test, verification and validation)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Space experience
  • Sensor/payload experience: antennas, radar, EO/IR, communications processing, specifically on‑board processing
  • Space vehicle experience
  • Space ground systems architecture and design experience
  • Mission engineering, modeling and simulation
  • Space mission CONOPS
  • Assembly, Integration and Test (AI&T) experience
Salary

Primary Level Range: $87,600.00 - $131,400.00

Secondary Level Range: $105,400.00 - $158,000.00
