Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. is seeking a Space Operations Analyst to translate client mission questions into structured analyses, driving actionable insights for space operations.

You will collaborate with operators, intelligence professionals, and ORCA engineers to deliver measures of effectiveness and executable tasks that impact missions. You will work with sponsors such as SSDP and SSC, applying modeling and simulation to assess resiliency and inform decision-making in complex space

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related analytical discipline is required.
• 5+ years of experience with or within the U.S. Air Force or U.S. Space Force in national security space.
• Experience with SDA-related functions: tracking, sensor networks, orbital analysis, conjunction assessment.

Responsibilities

• Translate client problem statements into structured analytic approaches with hypotheses and metrics.
• Engage with customers (SSDP, SSC, USSF) to capture requirements and align analysis with mission priorities.
• Analyze Space Domain Awareness (SDA) mission areas including catalog maintenance and tracking.
• Develop and leverage modeling & simulation to explore system behavior and inform decisions.
• Create briefings, visualizations, and technical write-ups for senior stakeholders.
