Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly experienced Staff Engineer Systems to join the Space Systems SEIT Engineering Organization in Rolling Meadows, IL. The role focuses on leading on-orbit checkout, developing command sequences, and rapidly integrating ground software for spacecraft operations. Travel up to 50% is expected.

The candidate should have extensive experience in space systems, signal processing, and programming with Python/MATLAB, plus an active TS/SCI clearance or eligibility.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with on-orbit checkout testing and payload checkouts.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI access is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-orbit checkout and operations activities.
• Develop and validate command sequences and automation scripts.
• Lead integration of ground software for spacecraft operations end users.
• Train ground operators and oversee activation procedures.
