Job summary

Rocket Lab seeks an experienced Mission Manager to oversee end-to-end customer missions from contract through payload integration to launch, with frequent travel to sites in North America, New Zealand, and beyond.

The role requires 5+ years in mission management or technical program management, plus hardware integration or PM experience on launch vehicles or spacecraft. A technical degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical discipline is required or preferred in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace.
• Minimum 5+ years in mission management or technical program management.
• Hardware integration or PM experience on launch vehicles or spacecraft projects.
• Ability to travel to launch sites, customer sites, and overseas destinations.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple Rocket Lab customer missions with technical, programmatic, and financial milestones.
• Oversee payload integration activities including fit checks and launch-vehicle integration.
• Lead milestone reviews with customers (design reviews or test readiness).
• Assist business development with proposals, lead generation, and technical sales input.
• Develop and verify Launch Vehicle to Payload ICD documentation.
• Maintain constant contact with customers with technical staff involvement.
