Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Linthicum, MD is seeking a Systems Engineer to develop and maintain a Mission Ground Simulator (MGS) in MATLAB for development, production, and on-orbit operational space radar payload programs.

You will work on-site in a classified program area, collaborating across mission engineering, requirements, architecture, modeling and simulation, integration and test to deliver robust ground systems for national security missions.

Qualifications

• BS in STEM with 5 years relevant experience or 3 years with MS
• Sr Principal Engineer requires BS in STEM with 8 years relevant experience or 6 years with MS
• MATLAB coding proficiency required
• Simulation performance modeling knowledge
• Active TS clearance required

Responsibilities

• Development and Maintenance of MGS MATLAB based ground simulation (thermal, power, radar tasking, ground interfaces, tasking decomposition)

This position is on-site in a classified program area in Linthicum, Maryland.

Active TS and eligibility for SCI clearance is required to be considered.

This position can be staffed at a Principal or Sr. Principal level based on the Basic Qualifications below.

Basic Qualifications

• Principal Engineer: BS in STEM with 5 years relevant experience or 3 years with MS
• Sr Principal Engineer: BS in STEM with 8 years relevant experience or 6 years with MS
• MATLAB coding proficiency
• Simulation performance modeling knowledge and experience
• Active TS clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
• Experience with Space Vehicle tasking
• Experience with Radar tasking
• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or Math
• Active SCI clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $108,800.00 - $163,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
