Rocket Lab in Virginia is seeking a Test & Launch Operations Engineer I to join the Ground Systems team. You will operate Electron and Neutron ground systems, support launch pad infrastructure, and lead testing campaigns.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and 1+ years in design, test, or operations; 2+ years may substitute for a degree. Base pay ranges from $80,000 to $95,000 USD, with stock, incentives, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
• 1+ years of engineering design, test and/or operations experience.
• 2+ years of related experience may substitute for a degree.

Responsibilities

• Operate Electron and Neutron ground systems as a launch console operator during tests, rehearsals, and launches.
• Support development, integration, and testing of launch pad infrastructure, GSE, and facility systems.
• Lead and execute testing campaigns, including GSE commissioning and ground system readiness checks.
• Manage configuration and verification of launch pad hardware and facility systems.
• Develop operational procedures, test plans, and emergency response protocols for ground operations.
• Design and improve HMIs for ground control systems to enhance operator efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve real-time issues during test and launch operations.
