Job summary

Anduril Industries, located in Costa Mesa, CA, seeks an ISSM to lead RMF/A&A activities across multiple classification levels for the Space team, owning the authorization portfolio and driving continuous monitoring to maintain a hardened, compliant IT posture.

You will coordinate with validators and government officials, create SSPs/SARs/POA&Ms, lead incident response, and mentor ISSOs while ensuring risk decisions are clearly communicated to leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in information assurance or cybersecurity, with direct RMF and A&A experience.
• DoD 8570/8140 compliance at IAM Level II or higher (e.g., CAP, CASP+, CISM, or CISSP)
• Experience interfacing with government Authorizing Officials and security control assessors
• Strong understanding of NIST 800-53 security controls and CNSSI 1253
• Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Lead RMF processes for system authorizations (ATO, IATT, IATO) and develop System Security Plans, Security Assessment Reports, and POA&Ms with remediation tracking.
• Manage the continuous monitoring program including vulnerability scans, account audits, access reviews, and risk assessments across protection levels.
• Coordinate security control assessments with validators, SCAs, and Authorizing Officials; interface with government security organizations as primary technical security representative.
• Lead incident response for security events requiring investigation, containment, and reporting.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to ISSOs, establishing performance expectations and comprehensive security coverage across all systems.
• Manage GRC platforms, track compliance evidence, and brief leadership and customers on authorization status and risk decisions
