Job summary

Sypris Electronics, LLC is seeking a Production Manager to lead space/high-reliability assembly and test operations, driving quality and on-time delivery while optimizing resources. You will coordinate manpower, equipment, and processes, ensure ISO compliance, and mentor the team to meet demanding schedules, security requirements, and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years electronics manufacturing experience with circuit card assemblies and box builds, preferably Space products.
• Adept with J-STD-001 soldering requirements.
• Familiar with NASA and IPC Space Addendum, preferred.
• Inspection of soldering of PCB components.
• Experience with continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing, preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to obtain security clearance if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates Space/high reliability activities to meet goals and costs; plans manpower, facility and equipment needs.
• Tracks daily goals through Production Analysis Board and ensures schedule adherence.
• Ensures correct work layouts and skills, via teams or leads, to meet standards.
• Trains, coaches and mentors the Space/high reliability team.
• Meets production schedules; monitors cycle time and overtime expenses.
• Participates in Production Readiness Reviews with Engineering and Supply Chain.
• Observes security procedures for classified materials and safety rules.
• Drives process improvements and cost reductions; identifies efficiency opportunities.
• Administers HR programs including selection, promotion and termination in a fair manner.
