Job summary

Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA is hiring a Harness Manufacturing Technician I to build and test wire harnesses for diverse space systems projects. You will solder, crimp, splice, strip, and test to aerospace standards while contributing to continual improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires 1+ years in harness assembly/test and a high school diploma or equivalent. Base pay is listed with comprehensive benefits and opportunities to grow within the Manufacturing team.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with electrical harness assembly and testing to an Aerospace standard or equivalent high-reliability field.
• High School diploma, GED, or 1+ years of applicable electrical and/or testing experience in lieu of diploma.
• Experience assembling per manufacturing instructions and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions and offer recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Speak openly and elevate concerns / recommendations to Leading Hand.
• Think creatively and question status quo.
• Actively contribute to local 5S work center.
• Identify and highlight abnormalities.
• Complete assigned special projects and scheduled jobs.
• Manage multiple tasks and pivot onto exciting high priority tasks.
