Job summary

SPACE EXPLORATION TECHNOLOGIES CORP is looking for a Software Engineer for the Hardware Test & Automation team in Hawthorne, CA. The role involves developing integrated operations and automation infrastructure for testing Starshield Satellites. You will focus on creating tools for rapid development and accurate testing of systems.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and experience in C, C++, or Python. You will play a vital role in crafting solutions for engineering challenges, and managing software tools necessary for testing satellite hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or STEM discipline or 2+ years of professional experience in software development.
• 1+ year of software development experience in C, C++, or Python.

Responsibilities

• Develop modular, reusable test and automation software.
• Write automation software to interact with flight hardware.
• Develop custom automation solutions to engineering and manufacturing challenges.

Skills

Software development experience in C, C++, or Python

Experience with Linux and Windows

Troubleshooting and debugging

Continuous integration experience

Numerical analysis techniques

Education
