Job summary

Vast Space Llc. is seeking a Technical Recruiter II (Fixed Term) to support engineering hiring for Haven-1 and related programs. This in-person role is based in Long Beach, CA, with a 6-month fixed-term contract and potential for extension.

You will own searches across manufacturing technician hiring and Manufacturing Engineering, partnering with leaders to calibrate requirements and timelines while building scalable pipelines for specialized talent within a fast-growing aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
• Experience recruiting for manufacturing, production, engineering, or other technical hardware.
• Experience using Greenhouse ATS or a similar Applicant Tracking System.
• Demonstrated ability to source and engage passive candidates.
• Experience managing multiple searches simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong stakeholder partnership and communication skills.
• Experience supporting high-volume technician hiring in aerospace, automotive, defense, hardware, or similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting across high-volume manufacturing technician hiring and Manufacturing Engineering searches, managing multiple openings and skill sets.
• Partner with hiring managers and stakeholders to calibrate role requirements, interview plans, timelines, and recruiting strategy.
• Build and maintain technician pipelines at scale while developing targeted sourcing strategies for specialized Manufacturing Engineering talent.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to identify, engage, and close highly sought-after passive candidates.
• Manage pipeline volume and conversion, improve hiring velocity, and maintain a high-quality candidate experience during peak demand.
• Lead interview debriefs and guide hiring teams through evaluation, decision-making, and closing strategy.
• Track recruiting metrics: outreach, conversion, pipeline health, hiring velocity, and goals; adjust activity as needed.
• Ensure consistent recruiting processes and documentation within the ATS.
• Represent Vast’s mission, hardware, and value proposition to candidates throughout the process.
