Job summary

Intuitive Machines, LLC seeks a Software Engineer in Palo Alto or remote within the U.S. as part of the Ground Software group. You will develop, deploy, and maintain telemetry/commanding for multiple satellite programs, contributing to the lifecycle from testing to operations.

The role emphasizes modern full-stack development, automation, and collaboration with flight software, I&T, and mission operations teams to meet user needs.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field; 2 years of software development experience or a Graduate STEM degree.
• Experience with C++, Java or Python; DevOps concepts, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, containers; AWS experience.
• Knowledge of large codebases and testing frameworks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop frontend and backend software for spacecraft ground software within an agile team.
• Design and modernize software for satellite assembly, integration, and test.
• Perform peer reviews and create test cases to verify functionality.
• Document architectures, requirements, and interfaces; participate in design discussions.
• Collaborate with flight software, I&T, and mission operations teams to understand user needs.
• Identify opportunities to modernize legacy systems into high-performance architectures.
• Share knowledge and mentor fellow developers; respond to incidents with on-call support.
